The National Award for SEN Coordination in Somerset 2017/18

Outline

This 6 day course is delivered on 3rd October, 31st October 2017, 23rd January, 13th March, 15th May & 12 June 2018 with a Pre Course Meeting on 7th September 2017.

The National Award for SEN Coordination is a postgraduate qualification, which is mandatory for teachers new to the role of SENCO and would be beneficial for experienced SENCOs. Other teachers in schools or Further Education settings may also be eligible to gain the qualification.

Description

This programme includes:

  • Six taught face-to-face days
  • LA (Local Authority) context for learning through face-to-face and virtual learning support and resources
  • Professional learning community
  • Networking with local SENCOs and sharing good practice
  • High quality local tutors with extensive expertise, experience, and knowledge
  • High-quality formative feedback.

Outcomes

Successful completion of all elements of the programme will result in you achieving the National Award for SEN Coordination, which is equivalent to a postgraduate certificate.

Booking Information

The programme will be completed in one year and the fee is £2,300 payable to Plymouth University.
Delegates are required to complete a application form, once approved are required to book onto our website
Lunch is provided on this course.

Audience

The National Award for SEN Coordination is a postgraduate qualification which must be achieved by teachers new to the role of SENCo. Experienced SENCO can also gain the qualification
