A session that will give an overview of all governor/trustees statutory responsibilities in regards to safeguarding and child protection and the requirements of the Keeping Children Safe in Education statutory guidance.
The session will cover:
- Definitions of abuse and how to recognise the signs of radicalisation, female genital mutilation and child sexual exploitation
- When to report concerns and when to pass on
- Basic roles and responsibilities of the board in regards to safeguarding children
- How to respond to allegations made against staff and volunteers
