The course will give those in governance an introduction to HR matters. The session will cover:
The session is facilitated by colleagues from Support Services for Education HR department
- Legal responsibilities for employees
- Adopting and enacting policies and procedures
- “When it all goes right!” How to monitor, review and challenge the effectiveness and impact of policies and practices within the school
- “When it all goes wrong!” how and when to investigate issues and governor panel responsibilities
Those attending will understand their HR responsibilities more fully.
All those involved in governance including governors for Maintained Schools, governors on Local Governing Body Committees and Directors/Trustees in Academy Trusts.
